THE HULL FRINGE

Management Committee Volunteers

Jon Nelson – Artist, Illustrator, Musician, Writer and Web Developer. I have been involved in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. Touring, performing and recording with bands. Promoting and organising Gigs, Concerts and Tours across the world. Currently working as a freelance artist and developer, attached to an organisation called Artlings, providing web hosting and design support services to artists and creatives.

Sam Donaldson – I’m an activist involved in Mad Pride Hull, Solidarity Hull, and campaigning for peace and social justice. Before moving back to Hull I lived in an intentional community in Bognor Regis, called L’Arche, where people with and without learning disabilities build homes together. When I’m not doing activism, I’m a writer.

Dan Watts – I am a Deaf man who runs a Facebook page called Elephant In The Room which specialises in Disabled/Deaf Advocacy. I have been involved in advocacy for many years through my job as a Social Media Co-coordinator and realised that over the years I needed to make difference with Hull as Disability is often the Elephant In The Room. I passionately believe in inclusivity and diversity which are the core values of The Hull Fringe 2017.

Mike Fuller – I moved to Hull in 1984 and, apart from three years away, have lived in Hull ever since. For me, the city deserves a better image than the media give it. I also feel that we discriminate against many in our society when, to include them, would enrich all of our lives. I could see the need for The Hull Fringe after support for a major choral event I was organizing was declined by City of Culture.
